KERMIT GORDON (1916-1976). An economist, Gordon served as Budget Director for both Presidents Kennedy and Johnson.
DS. 1pg. 22” x 18 ½”. December 17, 1962. Washington. A large commission signed “John F. Kennedy” as President and co-signed “Dean Rusk” as Secretary of State. The President appointed Kermit Gordon to be his “Director of the Bureau of the Budget”. Such high level Kennedy appointments scarcely come on the market. This one has a dark Kennedy signature and an official circular seal in the lower left. The document is framed in black wood and is in very fine condition. |
